Our Favorite Oatmeal Cookies

Assemble the following ingredients.

Brown Sugar |

Vanilla |
Cream the butter and sugars together. Add in the eggs and vanilla.
In separate large mixing bowl, stir or mix these dry ingredients together:

Baking Soda |

Salt |

Rolled Oats |
Add the creamed sugar mixture into the flour mixture. Combine with a mixer.
If using raisins, soak them for a half hour in warm deionized water for a half hour and then strain for 20 minutes. Add them last to the cookie dough adding half at a time and then mixing. Once incorporated, mix by hand.
Stir in:

A) Drop by teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
B) Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes. If making larger cookies, bake for 12 to 14 minutes.
Temperature: 350° Yield: 6 dozen 2.3 inch cookies
Time: 10-12 Minutes Baking Time
