Popovers

Makes 6 popovers.

Ingredients

1        1/4      Cups               Milk

1        1/4      Cups               Flour

-        1/2      tsp                  Salt

3         -         -                    Jumbo Eggs

 Instructions

 

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Generously grease non-stick popover cups.
  3. Pour milk into medium size mixing bowl. Add flour and salt.
  4. Using a rotary beater or wire whisk, beat until well blended. Do no overbeat!
  5. Add eggs one at a time. Beat just until completely blended after the addition of each egg.
  6. Pour batter into popover cups. Fill to three-fourths full.
  7. Bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes
  8. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking for 15 - 20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve immediately.
  10. Temperature and baking time is based on using heavy duty popover cups such as Baker's Advantage - Black Steel Bakeware or similar.
