Cornbread

Blend together:

1          -           cup                  yellow corn meal

1          -           cup                  flour

-           1/4       cup                  sugar

4          -           teaspoons        baking powder

-           1/2       teaspoon          salt

-           1/4       cup                  shortening

Add:

1          -           cup                  milk

1          -           -                       egg

 

A) Beat for 1 minute, until fairly smooth.
B) Grease well an 8” square pan.
C) Spread batter in pan and bake.


Temperature:  425º
Time:             20 to 25 Minutes
